Shabu Tatsu – East Village

(Shabu Shabu)

MUST MUST MUST TRY!

One of my favorite places in whole NYC. It is a really authentic small Japanese restaurant where mostly walk-ins take place to keep the customers coming. This type of food means work… it is a place where you kind of are your own cook as the fresh ingredients are placed in front of you but you still have to grill or cook them. This makes the whole dinner a really communicative procedure and I can tell you ins more fun then work. It is not only a really tasty place but also healthy, so you can eat as much as you like with out having a bad feeling afterwords. Most dishes are served in a menu including desert (best green tea ice cream I had so far).

Price per person: 40 $

Favorite dish: Shabu Shabu with Prime Rib Eye Beef
